The organisation has a component of seven staff members. Four of the staff members are programme staff members and two administrative staff members as well as the Director.
CALUSA boasts of a vast amount of experience within its staff component. The current staff members have been with the organisation for a period of more than 10 years. CALUSA staff members also have some international experience.
Mr Siphiwo Liwani went to India in 1998, and attended the Participatory Municipal Budget process in Port Allegra, Brazil, in 2004. He led the Local Government Programme.
Mr Fani Ncapayi attended an international conference of development activists in Bangkok, Thailand; the World Social Forum in Port Allegra in 2005; and 2 Southern African Development Co-operation (SADC) conferences of farmers in Johannesburg and Maputo in Mozambique, in 2006 and 2007 respectively.
Mr Sipho Thabo has been to Mozambique, Botswana and Namibia visiting small scale farmers in those countries.
